Information for homeowners whose renovations will involve the placement of a concrete foundation.

You would need a:
\building authorization or   permit
\written specification
\structural  engineer plans and details that show the design steel reinforcement that is required [some codes may have the required information]

\structural engineer Design Certificate that the design complies with a specific number of codes
\building surveyor or inspector

\perhaps an Engineer’s  Certificate  for  the Building  Inspector

\pest control person to provide measures against termites and a subsequent certificate

\Registered Surveyors Report showing the correct positioning
\most definitely accurate setting out by the builder so as to place the concrete in the right place and at the right height.

The black plastic evidenced in the photograph which is the vapour barrier is very important. Plastic chairs hold the steel reinforcement in a constant plane.
