Toxicity
There are many chemical substances made by humans that are toxic to humans and other living creatures. Pesticides, heavy metals and other carcinogenic compounds have spread through air, soil and water to cause widespread environmental pollution. In my opinion, treated pine could be another source of toxicity ( we’ll see what the future holds for us).
Some of this pollution comes from the manufacture of building materials and common on-site building practices.
New ‘Chemical Revolution’.
We’ve banned asbestos (well at least western cultures have), restricted chemicals for termite sprays, banned the use of red lead primer in Australia and reduced lead in the atmosphere by unleaded petrol. Pictured just here is an old asbestos roof. [image via google]
