In 1916, Mr Richard Stanton, a developer, imported an entire timber bungalow from Pasadena Hills, Los Angeles, USA and assembled it in the Sydney suburb of Roseberry NSW AUSTRALIA.
The subject house is a solid double brick Californian Bungalow circa 1919. One of the decorative ceilings had seen better days and was buckling/collapsing. Times had changed since 1919 we introduced air conditioning. So I cut out the offending, collapsing panel that was originally flat with an electric jigsaw. I introduced, of course, a pre-cut gyprock [dry wall] panel housing the air-conditioning registers but there were some gaps. Well, being a tradie I sealed the gaps with plastering products such as mesh, GB100, cornice cement [faster dry time], sand-able finishing plaster and acrylic gap-filler. I think the theme on the decorative panels is the forbidden fruit. Well, here it is>
