Heritage Style Restoration in Burwood Heights 1

In 2009 we were engaged to construct a veneer extension of a Federation house in Burwood Heights NSW.

The rear of the house was cladding/lined with the dreaded toxic asbestos plus the internal ceilings as well.  The area was greater than 10 square metres and a licenced asbestos demolisher was engaged that removed the asbestos safely.

Existing on-site bricks were cleaned and recycled into the base of the veneer extension.

The owner of the dwelling also owned a joinery shop and produced huge American western red cedar windows delivered for installation [ window sills were hardwood].

The new work was clad of course with fibre cement boards and trimmed off with western red cedar boards.

Another part of the work was an underground rainwater tank and a galvanised steel carport.

before the extension add-on during the frame construction phase as the finished product ready for decoration by the painter once the building inspector had passed the frame construction upon inspection.
