A geodesic greenhouse is simply a greenhouse that has a dome construction. It helps improve the conditions for plants, especially in colder climates. The air inside the dome is separated from the outside – it makes light energy go through but traps the heat.
A geodesic dome is a thin-shelled hemispherical structure ( also called lattice-shell) based on a geodesic polyhedron. The dome has triangular elements that are structurally rigid and distribute the structural stress throughout the structure, the latter enables geodesic domes to withstand very heavy loads despite their size.
