Friends, in 2009 my chosen blog designer provided a game plan and a decent upfront fee. After expending AUD$, years go by so quickly, and a new blog designer disagrees thus I spent more AUD $ upfront in 2017.

Time rolls on and the blogs are judged wrong by the powerhouse. So be it, the story of my life! Simon says you must not piggyback an internet video.

buildinggreenhomes.org with Earthship Homes – This is Part 1 of 3 videos of a tour through the Phoenix Earthship, a 5300 sq ft off-the-grid home in Taos, NM. Building Green Homes is a website devoted to sustainable living. This includes utilizing solar power, geothermal, wind power, recycled materials, environmentally friendly building materials and energy-efficient appliances.

The home has adobe mud walls with glass bottles and has double glazing.

Homes made from mud brick and adobe look and feel organic and earthy, reflecting the material they are made from. A thickly built mud brick or adobe wall can be load-bearing and even support a second storey.

Also, water is sourced from rain or snow and recycled 4 times. The water is used 4 times- drinking, cleaning (sink), on the plants and outside. [image source google]
