Low Carbon
Green Growth is a major theme in the construction industry. With the flow of things, Korean construction companies have spurred the development of eco-friendly house buildings. [Interview – Joon-bum Kim, the CEO of ES Heim] ~ We provide a heat source with sunlight and geothermal heat. The house itself is an industrialized building with an error margin of less than one millimetre. By installing this, we can reduce waste and control the amount or number of carbon emissions. With the development of eco-friendly building materials, the highly efficient “Chang-ho”, traditional Korean paper made from mulberry bark for doors and windows, is newly in the spotlight. It introduces the beauty of Korea’s tradition while at the same time, leading the Low Carbon․Green Growth market in the construction field. The idea of the high-efficiency Chang-ho was derived from traditional Korean-style homes, and by using triple-layer glass, it has been made airtight. In addition, Chang-ho has saved resources by connecting lintels without a doorframe and has maximized heat efficiency. I was lucky enough to be in Seoul in May 2018, an interesting place.
