Fix a Blocked Sewer 1 of 2

After all that rain in early 2022, I noticed my sewer trap was overflowing. The next thing you know the waste in the bathroom was gurgling. Then I realised there must be a blockage of some sort in the sewer line, so I called the licensed plumber [my son], but he did not show up. So I attempted to unblock the sewer trap myself firstly by scooping out the water with a long-handled scoop but to no avail. So I pulled out the long pinch bar and slowly and carefully broke up solids at the base of the sewer trap. White solids rose to the top of the water. I scooped out the white solid waste. The plumber finally arrived but was dressed up to go out on his date. I inserted my arm past the elbow with a screwdriver trying to break up the solid white waste even more. There seemed to be a success. However, the gurgling continued somewhat subdued. Complaining to the plumber we decided to engage a fellow plumber with a jet blaster. They came along on 29/7/2022 and inserted the jet blaster in the sewer line and switched it on trying to clear the blockages in the sewer line. In an effort of ensuring the clearing of the current blockage successfully, they cut a hole in the old steel vent pipe at the last fixture and inserted the jet blaster there as well. No more gurgling, overflowing traps, there seems to be a success.
