Design Is Important

Friends, in 2009 my chosen blog designer provided a game plan and a decent upfront fee. After expending AUD$, years go by so quickly, and a new blog designer disagrees thus I spent more AUD $ upfront in 2017.

Before introducing a wood ceiling into a remodelling project, it’s important to think about the shape of the ceiling and how it will affect the design.

There are different types of ceilings. There are flat ceilings, sloping ceilings like in the photograph below, vaulted ceilings and cathedral ceilings. In the photo, the tongue and groove ceiling boards had been in place since the 1910s. The separating timber beams and custom-made timber cornices were introduced in the 1980s by myself.

I believe wood beam construction like in the photograph below is very warm and homey. Obviously, the chosen colour of the ceiling boards is not everyone’s cup of tea.
