Heritage Style Restoration 9

Leichhardt Posts- the beginning

In a leafy cosmopolitan suburb of  Sydney called Leichhardt where I incidentally actually grew up, this turned fence post and its partner on the other side of the wrought-iron gate is in desperate need of restoration.

Unfortunately, they are rotted and beyond repair.

 

The square part of the post is  150mm square finish size and it stands 1380mm above the white Carrera marble step.

We have found a timber yard that will supply the timber and finally a  woodturner that is prepared to shape the post for  $x. Now it’s up to the homeowner to give us the nod.

However, this service can only be conducted if the insurer is on-side, and currently, they are not and as a result, we do not conduct it.
