Leichhardt Posts – the Start

You may remember Leichhardt Posts- the beginning posted 10/11/2010.

Well in the leafy cosmopolitan suburb of Sydney NSW i.e.  Leichhardt,  we have finally started on site as of yesterday 27/2/2012.

It took my local friendly timber yard 32  days to get the timber delivered down from sunny at times flooded Queensland.

The other day Monday 27/2/12 we pulled the existing rotten sample out of its 100 years plus position at the front boundary fence. There’s not much of the old one left.

The 2 no. new 2 metre long posts will be woodturned out of green rough sawn Aussie spotted gum hardwood 175mm by 175mm square. [Photos by author]
