Woolloomooloo Restore
The previous look of a 100-year-old Federation house with a veranda enclosure before 2010 is as per this photo, (as per usual toxic asbestos material was present and I cannot believe some countries are still making asbestos products)-
I initially missed out on the $25,000.00 contract. However, the property owner discovered the lower tenderer didn’t provide Home Owners Warranty, HOW for short ( currently named Home Building Compensation Fund, HBCF for short) and decided to award the contract to yours truly. Here we have the finished restoration of the upper balustrade after early 2010-
Upon peeling off of the toxic asbestos lining less than 10 sqm, wrapping in plastic, and tipping safely by transportation to a tip at Terry Hills NSW Australia, hidden treasure (most of the original balustrade) was found in place but rotted and was removed. So we manufactured the two handrails and balustrades out of LOSP pine in my factory. The upper frieze and half post were copied from neighbouring houses utilising LOSP pine.

The arch beams of the frieze were cut out of antique 290 mm by 68 mm old North American clear Oregon timber that I had in stock.

Engagement for the certification work is on a contract basis.

However, this service can only be conducted if the insurer is on-side, and currently, they are not and as a result, we do not conduct it.
